Palmetto Shared Services Alliance (PSSA) was born from a community needs assessment completed by Greenville First Steps and the Institute for Child Success that identified a significant need for childcare provider quality improvement. Like successful counterparts in many other states, we aim to strengthen the early care and education (ECE) community. Under the single goal of improving child outcomes, through transforming ECE systems and structures, Palmetto Shared Services Alliance is designed to build the capacity of community business leaders. This improves direct services children receive and equips early care and education environments to sustain high quality.
Palmetto Shared Services is pleased to be partners with the South Carolina Resource and Referral Network to bring business practice trainings and technical assistance to providers across the state. We are also partners with the South Carolina Program for Infant and Toddler Care to provide our resources for participants of their Be Well, Care Well initiative.
There are many ways for agencies and businesses to help PSSA support childcare providers in South Carolina. Contact us today to discuss membership sponsorships, grants, funding opportunities, and training plans!
Lexington County First Steps has successfully collaborated with Palmetto Shared Services Alliance in multiple ways.
Our most recent partnership journey links affordable childcare training sessions with caregivers seeking high quality SC certified training hours.
This virtual training model has benefited hundreds of childcare caregivers and staff across our state.
Childcare staff have the opportunity to choose and register for training sessions that fit their individual educational requirements, while meeting standards set by the state.
